BFI (Big Fish Internet Ltd) is an established digital agency that specialises in high-end website design, innovative bespoke development, hosting and digital marketing. Due to continued growth, we are on the lookout for a fantastic PHP developer to join our cutting-edge development team.
This role will be based out of our office in Manchester’s vibrant and up and coming Northern Quarter, close to local transport links.
You will be working with some well-known brands and blue chip customers and will need to enjoy learning new skills and keeping up with the latest web technologies.
The Successful Candidate
You will be creative, pro-active with an ability to problem solve. You’ll be interested in taking up challenging & varied projects with an ambition to exceed our customer’s expectations. In short, you should be able to demonstrate:
- Experience of PHP5, MySQL5 & PHP frameworks (confidence with Zend & CodeIgniter is useful)
- An understanding of MVC and OOP methodology
- The ability to efficiently plan projects and effectively communicate those plans
- Being a self-motivated, team player, thorough and committed to our customers and the business
Any experience with Perl or Linux system administration is advantageous.
