The APPI Health Group are world leaders in Pilates teacher training, and have been operating for 20 years, with over 70,000 global students across 30 countries worldwide. As well as operating a broad range of digital platforms, they also run a popular annual Pilates conference.
APPI came to us with an idea for a new Pilates streaming platform – they had recognised the consumer shift towards subscription-based streaming, and wanted to tap into a new market with a more accessible offering.
Where historically their courses have been geared towards professionals, they wanted a cost-effective platform to appeal to a more casual consumer.
Our first major project was delivery of the APPI TV streaming platform – we had a particularly challenging brief in that APPI hoped to deliver a finished product within 5 weeks of specification.
We were successful in meeting this target, and the platform was launched with great success – in the two months since launch, the platform has attracted over 500 new subscription sign-ups with minimal marketing.See the result
APPI TV makes use of a simple subscription model, in which users can select between Pay Monthly and Pay Annually options, to unlock streaming class library content.
Following a ten day free trial period the customer is charged accordingly and reminded on subscription anniversaries to renew. This transaction is underpinned by popular WooCommerce.See the project
We created custom post types within WordPress to make the classes, categorised them and added custom fields for additional information which are also used to filter the classes, by type, level, duration and teacher.
This allows the user to quickly drill down to appropriate content.See the project
