Bramwell International is a family run business based in the Lake District and the official distributor of Meindl boots across the UK and Ireland.
The Meindl family has been manufacturing high quality boots and shoes for over 300 years, however their UK distribution network had lapsed in the early 1990’s. After visiting the Meindl factory in Bavaria, the Bramwell co-founders Grant and Alastair Bramwell took on the agency.
With almost 30 years as sole agent for Meindl in the UK and Ireland, Bramwell International reached out to BFI to help them with branding and to create a B2C product catalogue which would allow users to purchase accessories and to search the UK and Ireland distribution network for over 240 Meindl retailers.
BFI was tasked with creating a clean and engaging commercial offering for Meidl UK, with some bespoke custom features which allow users to find a stockist or compare boots, shoes and sandals. Alongside this project we were also asked to design and develop the more generic Bramwell International website.
We built and continue to maintain a customer-facing website to bring an engaging experience to Meindl UK’s client base. In addition to a full product catalogue, users are able to source and enquire about the availability of Meindl footwear local to them.
Meindl is a well renowned brand, highly regarded by their customers and as such we needed to follow strict branding rules to create a full-service ecommerce offering, which allows users to search through a large product range, compare products and to purchase accessories.
Once an initial UI journey was produced and approved, we built and tested to these brand margins. We continue to work closely with Bramwell International to integrate the site with their ongoing requirements.See the result
With over 250 distributers in the UK and Ireland, the client’s customers rely on the availability of a comprehensive, easily searchable stockist locator. Using the Google Maps API, we delivered a straightforward regional stockist search, with clear visual results.
