Vision Express
touchscreen store application

The company

Part of Europe’s largest optical retail group, ‘GrandVision’, Vision Express has over 330 stores in the UK and Ireland, delivering the best in individual optical care at fair prices.

The challenge

In October 2012, Vision Express unveiled new, state-of-the-art professional eyecare facilities and an even more extensive product range in its flagship store on London’s Oxford Street. The business introduced an outstanding range of new eyewear, with exclusive products from Ralph, Guess, Ray-Ban, Hugo Boss, Diesel and Oakley.

BFI’s task was to design and build an easy-to-use, self-service contact-lens recommender system for Vision Express’s visiting customers.

The BFI Solution

We built an interactive touchscreen application that we deployed in the Oxford Street store.

The results

The result was an intuitive, friendly and easy-to-use system that promotes and encourages contact lens wear for new and existing customers. The system effectively communicates and engages with non-contact lens customers and complements other contact lens marketing material.

We made it easily updateable and built in cross-platform functionality for future deployment on other devices.
