BFI improves UX for A.Lamb Associates

Established in 1996, A. Lamb Associates (ALA) offers specialist commercial services to the construction industry. Originating in the oil and gas sector, they have since expanded to cover all sectors of the construction and energy industry. Consequently, ALA count multinational specialist contractors, solicitors and employers amongst their long term clients.


BFI has a continuing partnership with ALA. We developed a re-branded logo in 2017 and subsequently designed an earlier version of the website  and a corporate brochure. Earlier this year, BFI were approached to re-develop the website in order to include more sections and improve the user journey.


BFI audited the existing site and suggested that the client had outgrown the condensed “single-page” style. We also identified a need to improve the way users viewed the content. As a result we recommended an emphasis on industry sectors, case studies, services, a corporate time-line and career opportunities. More B2B rather than brochure site.

Working closely with ALA, BFI proofed every new page type and developed a new UI Icon set. These were to be used to simplify and sign post the user journey through the new sections. These offer clarity and will be re-used in future printed materials. Once signed off, our development team put together the new design and held training sessions with ALA staff.
